„Boris’ Pelago Stavanger is a beautiful beast and the kind of bike we like. Furthermore we really like how Pelago pays attention to details after expanding their product range in the last years. The fork crown is decorated with the Pelago brand name, the seat post clamp received a good looking engraving and the decals are nicely done. The frame is made of TIG welded double butted 4130 Cr-Mo tubing with a 5 year warranty and comes with a 1 1/8“ lugged Cr-Mo fork. The frame has a rigid and very solid feeling. Boris wanted kind of a versatile special ops bike for all his short term adventures. What was important for him either was the ability to also have a everyday bike for commuting and the simple things in life like shopping and transporting parcels or beer. That’s why the Pelago Commuter Front Rack was a no brainer. The other components are a mix of reliable and classic parts. The Dura Ace shifters give you the opportunity to mount them at a dropbar or a straight bar. Extra wide H Plus Son Todestrieb rims could take a variety of cross tires for a wide range of terrains. The setup with the dropbar was good for touring and commuting but not for single trails. Boris wanted to exhaust the possibilities of the frame set and changed the setup after a couple of months to shred the trails. It was easy to convert the Stavanger to a “classic MTB” mounting a Fairweather B903 Bullmoose and handlebar mounts for the Dura Ace shifters. The Shimano XTR / Deerhead drivetrain is a perfect companion for different needs if you choose a balanced gear ratio. You can see that the Stavanger is very versatile and a perfect basis for many different kinds of bikes as well as riders.“

Ziemlich verrücktes Stavanger bei den Leuten von the Hunt aus Halle.
